I climb all the way up the trail from the parking lot, thinking I am almost there, and what do I find at the top? This is the lookout tower at the top of the mountain. Notice that big round spiral walkway? Thank God there was a rail to hang on to. I am really hoping that there is a water fountain at the top. No such luck! The elevation and exertion has me parched.

More trees!

Look closely and you can see the road winding along the side of the mountains. This is the road we drove up to get here. Cars should be banned from this road ;-)

  Beth is always worried about her hair, even after wearing a helmet hehe. Here the wind was not that strong, it was just cold and damp.
