Okay, here are a few more maps with suggested routes. If you want to see a break down on the distances for each segment of road, check out MAP 4. All of these are small enough to be printed on 8-1/2 X 11 if you set your printer to landscape mode before printing.

Follow the numbered dots...

MAP 1

Want to knock out a lot of the serious twisties in one day? Here you go. First gas Utopia @ 66 miles, 2nd gas and lunch at Camp Wood @ 77 miles, 3rd gas at Leakey @ 77 miles, then back to Kerrville @ 63 miles, total trip 283 miles. 143 miles before lunch and 140 after lunch.

MAP 2

This is a nice route for Sunday maybe when there are likely to be more 2 up riders. Gas stops are at Leakey @ 78 miles then 66 miles back to Kerrville for lunch. For the Afternoon, gas in Utopia @ 66 miles then 57 miles back to Kerrville. 144 miles before lunch and 123 after lunch, for a total of 267 miles. The afternoon section could be extended by taking 1050 down towards Garner and heading up 83 to Leakey and then 337 back to the original route, 40 extra miles. At almost any time there are several places to cut either the morning or afternoon route short if needed.

MAP 3

This route is more for the longer range bikes, those that can do at least 125 before needing gas. Gas at Camp Wood @ 101 miles (or Rocksprings @ 77 miles) then over to Leakey or Utopia for lunch. Next gas at Bandera @ 78 miles. Next gas for short rangers to top off is back at Leakey @ 57 miles. Then back to Kerrville 61 miles. IF we eat in Utopia, that puts us at 145 miles before lunch and 173 after lunch for a total of 318 miles.

MAP 4

I tried to get all the distances from intersection to intersection. They may not be exact but they should be close. Our recent trip to North Carolina verified that the AAA Map'n'Go program's estimates of distances are fairly accurate even on twisty roads.
