Corbin Seat for the VFR 800

Unfortunately, the Corbin for the VFR was nothing like the one for my previous bike, a 1992 Nighthawk 750. The quality of the finish was poor. Also, I found the seat to be worse than the stock seat in terms of comfort. The seat to peg distance was reduced to the point where my riding pants would bunch up behind my knees cutting off the circulation to my lower legs. Not good. Also, the hole in the back of the seat for the backrest was uncovered and looked terrible. That was always the first thing everyone noticed about the seat. I tried the seat for about 500 miles and then sent it back. Originally, I was going to have Corbin modify the seat. They agreed to put a patch on the hole and to redo the seat profile. Unfortunately, their customer service is very poor if you cannot come directly to their facilitates in California. After eight weeks of trying to get a hold of someone to discuss the modifications, I finally got a call back informing me the seat was ready to ship out. Since I never got to talk to them about the changes, I told them to just keep it and refund my money, which they did do promptly. Some people love Corbins, to each his own I say. So I stuck it out with the stock seat for the next 11,000 miles.
