Beth's 2001 Suzuki SV650S - Vista Cruise Throttle Lock

If you have ever ridden a motorcycle on any long rides, you can appreciate how you might want to occasionally remove your right hand from the throttle without having to resort to gymnastics on the bike or pulling over to the side of the road. Enter the Vista Cruise throttle lock.

This nifty device uses a ring fixed to the throttle grip. The ring has a metal band around it. When the thumb lever is depressed, it tightens the metal band around the ring and keeps it from turning. The friction band is fixed to a rigidly mounted brace. It is very simple to operate. While it is not quite like a cruise control, because it won't maintain a set speed, it is still very nice to have. It maintains a set throttle position and you will speed up or slow down as you go up and down hills. They cost around $40 here in the States. Money well spent in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I had to remove the throttle lock. Its manner of attaching to the throttle grip is incompatible with the Hot Grips I later installed.
